About the Team

The Policy and Innovation Division drives future transport opportunities, legislative and policy reform, and imbed a deep understanding of the user and innovative technology.

 

About the Oppportunity 

The purpose of the Transport Data team is to creatively use data and models to develop insights on how Victorians use the transport network, with a special focus on the public transport network. The team sits within the broader Transport Analysis and Modelling (TAM) branch, which is responsible for data insights, economics and strategic modelling; the purpose of which is to provide the evidence base for decision making. 

 

 

About You

  • Extensive experience using statistics and mathematics to derive insights from data.
  • Ability to handle large datasets and experience with relevant tools (e.g. R, SQL, Python, etc.).
  • Strong project management skills, including the ability to prioritise competing demands and deliver to deadlines.
  • Well-developed conceptual thinking, including the ability align activity to organisation objectives and support robust business decision making.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to interpret, explain and present data.
  • Demonstrated coaching skills to effectively support the development of colleague's capabilities.
