About the role:

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced educator/facilitator to develop and deliver an organisational capability project responding to the Royal Commission into the Management of Police Informants (RCMPI). This project focuses on development of the training strategy for Victoria Police members regarding their disclosure responsibilities and obligations.

This is a high profile and complex project that requires the ability to develop, manage and maintain relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders. You'll be working closely with various projects across the organisation, along with sworn members and senior management.

You'll report to the Branch Manager of the RCMPI Project and will be provided coaching and support to ensure project success.

This role has a strong focus on facilitation and delivery. You will be based at the Victoria Police Academy however you will be required to attend police sites across the state to conduct training. You will have access to a work vehicle for all work-related travel.

Your duties will include:

  • Developing curriculum and learning materials
  • Facilitating training
  • Working with subject matter experts (Victoria Police members)
  • Contributing to project reporting
  • Participating in continuous improvement activities
  • Contributing to the evaluation of training
  • Supporting the Branch Manager as required.

As the successful applicant, you will have:

  • Demonstrated experience in training delivery and facilitation
  • Ability to work with subject matter experts
  • Ability to engage learners and meet their needs
  • Display experience in developing learning materials
  • High level of adaptability and strong stakeholder management skills
  • Certificate IV in Training and Assessment
  • Other relevant qualifications

Requirements and relevant information:

  • Two (2) full-time, fixed term positions available (end date 31/12/2024).
  • These positions are located at the Victoria Police Academy, 1 View Mount Road, Glen Waverley.
  • Applicants must be an Australian Citizen, Permanent Resident or hold a valid work permit or visa.
  • The successful applicant will be required to undergo pre-employment checks which may include fingerprint checks and misconduct screening.
  • In accordance with organisational policy, all Victoria Police employees are required to be fully vaccinated (including a booster vaccination) against COVID-19 or hold a valid medical exception.
