One full time, fixed term position for 2 years in the Grade 5 range $98,396 to $119,052 plus 9.5% super

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced lawyer to join our Practitioner Discipline Unit in the Compliance and Enforcement Division.

In this role, you will support the practitioner discipline function to deliver the Victorian Building Authority's core disciplinary function. This includes providing in-house counsel services across disciplinary processes and case managing complex legal activity relating to the conduct, performance and practising ability of building practitioners regulated under the Building Act 1993. In particular, you will prepare notices for settling and signing by delegates of the Authority.

As our ideal candidate, you will have prior experience working within a disciplinary or prosecutorial setting, applying principles of procedural fairness and impartial decision making to disciplinary or investigative processes within a regulatory regime or law enforcement environment.

You will possess sound working knowledge of administrative law with well-developed communication, stakeholder engagement, conceptual and analytical skills.
