About the role:
The Indictable Crime team are seeking three experienced criminal lawyers to provide high quality legal advice and representation to clients. About you:
You will have extensive knowledge and advocacy experience in criminal law and relevant court procedures, particularly in indictable offences at both a State and Commonwealth level. You will have the technical proficiency to conduct quality case work to a very high standard in complex criminal law matters, including appearing as an advocate in higher courts. You will have the ability to provide strategic advice on legal policy issues, including an understanding of external organisations, community and welfare groups, and the important role they play in legal aid services.

You will possess demonstrated leadership capabilities and have the ability to supervise and mentor staff, and initiate and implement policies to enhance the delivery of our services. Crucial to your success in this role will be your high-level interpersonal skills, including the ability to form productive professional relationships and the ability to communicate effectively with clients and stakeholders at all levels.
