The Senior Legal Policy Officer in the Environment Protection Branch will lead the development of key regulatory and legislative instruments for the environment protection portfolio

Be a part of Victoria's environment protection reform. This role will lead the development of key regulatory and legislative instruments that are designed to protect our environment. We're looking for someone who has experience in the key steps required to deliver new statutory instruments, including policy development, drafting, stakeholder engagement, statutory processes and executive briefing as required.

Specialist/Technical Expertise/Qualifications

  • Tertiary qualification(s) including post-graduate qualification(s) in science, public policy, natural resource or environmental management, engineering, law, economics, business management or similar is desirable.
  • Experience in and/or knowledge of environment protection law is helpful.

This is a fixed term position available until 30 June 2022.
