An exciting opportunity is available for a Senior Media and Communications Advisor with Service Victoria.

Service Victoria is an Administrative Office within the Department of Premier & Cabinet charged with simplifying, improving and modernising essential government transactions and delivering customer service.  

As a Senior Media and Communications Advisor you will be responsible for helping promote Service Victoria and manage issues to help protect its reputation. 

Reporting to the Digital Marketing Manager, you will play a hands-on role in boosting brand awareness, proactively and reactively managing media issues, writing stories, liaising with ministerial offices and communication professionals across government, and finding ways to profile Service Victoria's achievements.

Your work will primarily leverage owned and earned channels. You will prepare and refine key messages designed to inform and influence. You will develop strategies and action plans to disseminate messages through various mediums.

Service Victoria is continuing to hire with all interviewing and on-boarding done virtually due to COVID-19. All new and existing Service Victoria team members will continue to work from home until it's safe to return to our office. When our office re-opens, this role will have the option to work from the office or remotely from home.

This role like many others can be worked flexibly, including working from home. Although, our home office is currently in Footscray, we work remotely and will relocate to the purpose-built Ballarat GovHub Centre in early 2021.
