What You Will Be Doing

As a Senior Clinician on the newly developed Intensive Recovery Team, the Occupational Therapist will contribute to the overall design and model of care alongside the other senior clinicians and manager in the team. The role provides demonstrated advanced skills on occupational therapy assessment and intervention for clients who are experiencing significant mental health difficulties often along with a range of other comorbidities. Interventions may be on an individual or group basis and include all areas of occupational performance relevant to the clients identified goals.

The role will also involve providing assessment and advocacy for clients requiring NDIS applications and care coordination to a small caseload of clients. The role also provides clinical supervision to Grade 1 and 2 Occupational Therapists and students.

What You Need

We anticipate you will have:
• A degree or diploma from a recognised School of Occupational Therapy and eligibility for membership of OT Australia who are eligible for registration with AHPRA.
• Extensive experience in the mental health field including acute inpatient services and/or community mental health care
• Demonstrated management and leadership experience
• A current Victorian drivers licence
