To understand and maximise the capacity of the existing network, plan for future needs and work towards creating a more integrated transport network that delivers better outcomes for all users. We do this by translating transport strategy into sustainable plans to be implemented through a pipeline of projects, keeping community values such as liveability, road safety, economic prosperity and community connectedness at our core.

Primary Purpose of this role

This role will support the development of maintenance and renewal investment case, as well as embedding systematic and asset management practices

  • Support investment decisions balancing performance, risk and whole-of-life costs
  • Collaborate with various business areas, engage and extract relevant information and tap into their knowledge
  • Where required, you will support the Team Leader in the delivery of high-quality advice and analysis and contribute to briefings and presentations
  • You will be someone with a strong willingness to learn, takes accountability with a great work discipline, evidence based working approach, good communicator and a growth mindset

Key Selection Criteria

  • Exercise independent judgement to apply asset management principles to moderately complex issues
  • Contribute to research and development projects
  • Use negotiation and influencing skills to solve asset management issues to reach a mutually beneficial outcome for DoT and stakeholders
  • Implement appropriate changes to work practices that result in business improvements
  • Use conceptual and analytical skills to develop solutions to moderately complex problems
  • Build and maintain effective relationships with key stakeholders
