About Monash Health

Monash Health is an impressive organisation of seven public hospitals, 21 community health sites, five aged care facilities, university affiliated international research and tertiary education. We provide healthcare for the entire lifespan from pre-birth to palliative care and all stages in between, and we have recently opened the new 230-bed Monash Children’s Hospital.

About the Role

If you are a neuropsychologist who wants to continue to make a difference in the lives of others, this is a position able to offer you rich professional rewards. We have obtained ongoing funding for this specialist role supporting children and their families who are part of the Monash Health’s Children’s Cancer Centre. The Children’s Cancer Centre at the Monash Medical Centre is an integral part of the Monash Children’s Hospital, caring for approximately 30% of Victoria’s childhood cancer patients.

Our work is with children, families and those supporting the CCCs patients. We strive to provide optimal health outcomes attending to the psychological, neurocognitive and behavioral sequelae in children treated for cancers and hematological conditions. We are committed to providing first class neuropsychology evaluations for our patients, and to provide psychoeducation for our multi-disciplinary team, families and others involved in our patient’s lives.

This role will suit a clinical neuropsychologist with more than five years’ experience in a paediatric setting. With your foundation being a commitment to public health, we look to you to support our goals of best care, providing comprehensive assessment and intervention to our patients. As you can imagine, this is a ‘real world’ role that allows you to draw on your experience and qualification.

With us you will experience professional growth and development, especially in enhancing your clinical intervention skills to improve the health outcomes with this population. Our work is well respected, and there is true diversity in our client population. Your interest in carrying out research, especially intervention focused research will find a home with us. You will have many opportunities given the Monash Children’s CCC is a member of the Paediatric Integrated Cancer Service (PICS), a partnership between the Royal Children’s Hospital, Monash Children’s and the Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre that provides a collaborative approach to the delivery of care to children and adolescents with cancer in Victoria.

You’re serious about neuropsychology and its contribution to the lives of those in need. We’re serious about supporting you. Don’t miss this chance of to join one of the signature programs within the Monash Children’s Hospital.
