SENIOR PODIATRIST
Up to Permanent Full Time hours available

Colac Area Health is a values based organisation providing a unique integrated health service comprising of over 500 employees, providing Acute Care, Aged Care, Community and Allied Health Services.

Senior Podiatrist will provide high quality, timely podiatry care to patients, clients through contemporary best practice clinical skills which focus on high level and extended scope interventions, professional and appropriate communication across Colac Area Health Community Services, Hospital, and Aged Care settings.

This will include operational oversight of the podiatry service and professional guidance and podiatry practice development across Colac Area Health.

To lead a weekly podiatry high risk foot outpatient clinic demonstrating a high level of professional practice, clinical expertise and operational knowledge in collaboration with the Barwon Health Diabetes Foot Unit (DFU).

What’s required? 

• Degree in Podiatry and Podiatry registration through the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)


• Ability to manage and prioritise a varied, complex and high caseload


• Have at least 7 years of experience in a specialist area


• Highly professional and effective interpersonal and communication skills.


• Demonstrated experience and expertise in the provision of podiatry services in acute and/or subacute and community health setting


• Proven leadership skills and experience in supervision of Allied Health Assistants and other Podiatry staff as appropriate


• Demonstrated ability to work as an effective member of an interdisciplinary team to provide optimum care


• Have a good knowledge of information technology platforms and can easily adapt to the change requirements of working within a health service


• Excellent computer literacy


• Current Victorian Drivers licence, Working with Children Check, and Police Check

Desirable:

• Endorsed Podiatrist Prescriber or working towards endorsement.
