Your Role

The Senior Policy Adviser will manage the delivery of major tourism infrastructure projects in Victoria in partnership with key stakeholders. The role will also assist in the provision of influential advice to Ministers, departmental senior management, Government stakeholders and other key community and industry stakeholders on a range of infrastructure policy and development issues.

Your Skills

• Excellent project management capabilities with experience delivering public sector projects and programs, including experience planning and contributing to the implementation of large-scale projects in complex environments.
• Strong knowledge of Government processes, governance standards, policies and programs including knowledge of the key issues confronting the tourism sector in Victoria.
• Proven analytical and conceptual skills, including an ability to structure problems, analyse data and communicate solutions to decision-makers. This requires excellent written, visual and verbal communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to build and maintain positive, productive and mutually beneficial working relationships and networks across government; industry and the community to achieve mutually beneficial outcomes for all.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with high expectations, tight deadlines, and a culture of feedback, continuous development and supportiveness.
• Proven experience in successfully negotiating with stakeholders on complex issues to achieve positive outcomes.
