Senior Policy and Programs Adviser - Commission for Gender Equality 

We are looking for an experienced, talented and motivated individual to join the newly established Commission for Gender Equality in the Public Sector (Commission) as Senior Policy and Programs Adviser.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to implement ground-breaking legislative change designed to improve gender equality outcomes for the Victorian public sector, and wider Victorian community.

As Senior and Policy and Programs Adviser, you will play a vital role in the operationalisation of the Gender Equality Act 2020 (Vic) (the Act). You will help ensure the Act's effectiveness by influencing stakeholders to understand and promote the Act's obligations and objectives and using evidence to drive progress towards gender equality.

The successful candidate will be a high-performing and proactive self-starter with the ability to develop strategic policy in a complex environment, build collaborative relationships and networks, communicate effectively in written and verbal formats, and deliver a range of tasks under pressure. Experience in and/or understanding of gender equality work and the state, national and international legislative context would be an advantage.
