These Senior Policy Officer (VPS5) roles will contribute to the successful development and delivery of early years initiatives. These roles will involve policy advice, project and program management, to support the delivery of high-quality education programs in the early childhood sector. All roles will involve engagement with both internal and sector stakeholders.

Senior Policy Officer (4 roles, fixed term, full-time)

Multiple Senior Policy Officer roles are available in the Early Learning and Development Reform Branch:

  • one fixed term role in the Early Years Workforce Unit until June 2023
  • two fixed term roles in the Early Years Projects Unit until June 2022
  • one fixed term role in the Assessment for Learning Team until June 2022.

We are looking for candidates who are passionate about early childhood education and interested in the opportunity to develop new policy and programs to support the early childhood sector during a period of significant change as the Australian-first Three-Year-Old Kindergarten reform is rolled out.

To be successful, you will have strong skills in policy, project management, stakeholder engagement and written communication. Knowledge of early childhood education and the Victorian early childhood sector is desirable although not essential.
