The Senior Policy Officer will work as part of a high performing team within the Forward Policy and Research Branch of the Forward Policy and Business Strategy Division of the Planning Group. The role will lead and manage a diverse range of policy issues and reform projects in the context of Victoria's land use planning system, with a focus on governance reforms for planning portfolio public entities leading to improved outcomes.
This work includes developing and recommending governance policy options, preparing advice on required legislative or other changes, preparing briefings and correspondence for Ministers and executives, and coordinating policy development across the Planning Group. The role will influence and negotiate across a wide range of government and external stakeholders to gain agreement to proposals which contribute to the delivery of better planning outcomes.
