The Social Policy Group is responsible for providing high quality policy analysis and advice to the Premier and portfolio Ministers in the areas of: Aboriginal Victoria and Aboriginal affairs policy, as well as education, justice, health and human services. The group is also responsible for contributing to the development of strategic social services reforms and monitoring, coordinating the Mental Health Royal Commission and reporting on the delivery of Royal Commission into Family Violence recommendations.
The Justice Branch advises the Premier and Cabinet on the development and delivery of key policies and strategic priorities from a whole-of-government perspective across the justice portfolio.
The Justice Branch is looking to recruit talented and dynamic Senior Policy Officers to provide high-quality, strategic analysis and advice on justice policy issues to support the Premier and Cabinet.
These roles requires strong policy, analytical and stakeholder management skills as well as an ability to provide high-quality and professional advice in a time-pressured environment.
These roles offer the opportunity to work closely with other DPC branches, other Government departments and key external stakeholders to deliver the Victorian Government's objectives with respect to the justice portfolio.
The Senior Policy Officer will play a key role in providing advice, analysis, and coordination support to DPC senior leadership and the Premier.
Experience in Legal Policy and Social Policy would be advantageous for some of these roles.
