POSITION SUMMARY:

The Senior Policy Officer, Strategic Policy & Projects role will provide expert strategic advice and contribute to the delivery of strategic projects both as part of a team, with responsibility for leading key streams of work, and independently. You will provide policy development support and capability building through working on specific projects in policy areas or with senior executives, as needed.

To be successful in this role, you will be a high performing team member with strong analytical, strategic planning, project management and communication skills. You may offer specialist skills in either health systems, analytics, government processes, legislation, stakeholder consultation, policy design, or program implementation.  You will work closely with teams and other partners to define problems, analyse qualitative and quantitative inputs, consult stakeholders, and develop options and creative, implementable solutions.

You are diligent and comfortable working with unfamiliar and complex issues and building positive relationships with senior stakeholders. Success in this role will be predicated on the ability to work with deep subject matter experts and ensure outcomes are achieved.
