About us

This role sits within the Design and Sustainable Planning (DSP) group of the Built Environment division. DSP is responsible for advising on and facilitation of good court building design, planning and sustainability for Victorian Courts and Tribunals. DSP does this by operating continuously throughout the lifecycle of CSV's built assets, actively engaging and effectively communicating across all jurisdictions to collaboratively develop and deliver proactive solutions. In this context, good design is legible, functional, safe and sustainable for all users.

About the role

The role of the Senior Policy Officer – Sustainable Planning is to identify, research and advise on opportunities to enhance social and community benefit of courts and courts asset management through design, function and project delivery, in alignment with the principles of Sustainable Development. The position involves engagement with jurisdictions, community organisations, research partners and other Government departments as appropriate.

The Senior Policy Officer also provides briefing development and support including needs identification, research and bid development to support technical functions and communication requirements of DSP team as needed.

About you

To be successful in this role, you will have demonstrated understanding of operational and service delivery needs, and how they affect design briefs, governance and construction in a Courts context. You will also have strong stakeholder engagement and negotiation experience, an understanding of project management processes and critical thinking skills.
