The Victorian Responsible Gambling Foundation was created by the Victorian Parliament under the Victorian Responsible Gambling Foundation Act 2011 specifically to address the challenge of gambling harm in the Victorian community.
About us
The Victorian Responsible Gambling Foundation was created specifically to address the challenge of gambling harm in the Victorian community. Our purpose is to prevent and reduce gambling harm for all Victorians. Our role is to fund research and other activities that add to the knowledge and understanding of gambling harm; to work in partnership with others to offer evidence-based prevention programs and support services to those affected by gambling harm; and to deliver communication campaigns that inform and influence gambling-related attitudes and behaviours.
Gambling harm affects individuals, families, communities and populations. Accordingly, we take a public health approach to harm, which comprises evidence-based awareness, prevention, early intervention, education, and treatment and support programs. Our strategic priorities are to:
About the role
An exciting vacancy exists for a fixed term (parental leave backfill) position as a Senior Prevention Partnership Advisor in the Prevention team, within the Prevention and Programs branch.
The Prevention team undertake primary prevention initiatives & programs to address gambling harms in Victorian communities.
Working within a public health framework, the team partners with diverse stakeholders to raise awareness and drive change. The team delivers a range of community-led & settings-based programs.
The role will be pivotal in planning, delivering & evaluating the Foundation's suite of community-led grants, strategic partnerships & pilot projects.
About you
To be successful, you will ideally possess the following attributes:
Qualifications in health promotion, social policy, public health or community development will be well regarded
