SENIOR PROCUREMENT OFFICER

Annual Salary Range: VPS4 - $87,640 - $99,438 + superannuation

Tenure: Fixed Term until [22 Dec 2022]

About the Team

To deliver transport Services across all modes that provides a single user interface to the transport network.

 

About the Opportunity

Reporting to the Procurement Manager, the Senior Procurement Officer is responsible for providing advice to the Safer Roads team on procurement processes.

 

About You

As our ideal candidate, you will have:

  • Procurement Planning: Undertake strategic analysis, including research into suppliers, markets and product and service categories, to inform and develop commercial strategy and sourcing plans under general supervision.
  • Procurement: Apply competence in the development and delivery of complex internal and external contracts in accordance with policies and procedures.
  • Procurement Support: Develop complex reports on progress of works, contractual and technical issues and provide sound advice
  • Procurement Process: Manage the tender, evaluation and acquisition process with expert assistance as required and place contracts under general direction.
  • Contract Claims Resolution: Exercise professional independent judgement to provide sound advice and recommendations regarding contractors' claims submitted for additional payments under contracts.
  • Contract Schedule: Apply competence in analysing, interpreting and monitoring moderately complex contract programs and develop recommendations.
