POSITION SUMMARY:

As the Senior Project Manager, Property you will be responsible for delivering and providing strategic leadership advice on large, complex property acquisitions for the Health Capital Program. Property acquisition projects will include acquiring land for Community Hospitals, Royal Melbourne Hospital Arden Precinct and Melton Hospital.

The Senior Project Manager, Property will be the primary point of reference within the Authority for providing advice on property matters and complex property transactions across key programs of work. Your role will involve:

  • Providing authoritative quality advice on all property matters
  • Managing property and land acquisition requirements across the program
  • Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders
  • Applying an analytical approach to managing issues and problem solving
  • Developing guidelines and procedures to support the delivery of major health capital infrastructure projects

What you will need to be successful

Previous experience in a senior project delivery role with extensive knowledge of property acquisition processes across complex infrastructure projects. Ideally this experience will be gained within a government environment. Your experience will include:

  • Experience in fast paced, dynamic infrastructure project environments
  • Strong commercial acumen and contract negotiation skills
  • Proven ability to develop relationships with stakeholders including consultants and contractors
  • Experience in writing complex briefs and reports
  • Knowledge of the Victoria Healthcare System (beneficial)

A tertiary qualification related to property, law, project management, asset management or equivalent experience would be desirable.

To be successful you will be a leader who can build effective relationships, manage stakeholders, and provide dependable and authoritative technical and policy advice.

  • Government policy planning experience or capital planning expertise
  • Deep expertise in providing strategic town planning advice
  • Experience as a contributor to the full life cycle of projects
  • Ability to establish project governance and deliver

Tertiary qualifications or equivalent experience in town planning.
