POSITION SUMMARY:

Senior Project Manager, Sustainable Design Advisor

An opportunity to join a dynamic small team leading work that will advance environmental sustainability and human health outcomes in Victoria's social housing stock. This position will develop sustainability policy, work closely with sector partners, and provide expert advice to Home Victoria's new build delivery teams.

The Director of Housing is continually delivering new housing and upgrading existing housing. Over the next four years, Homes Victoria is delivering the Big Housing Build, which involves $5.3 billion worth of investment in new social housing, and over $600 million in maintenance and upgrade via the Building Works and Energy Efficiency in Social Housing Programs. There are ambitious goals for the sustainability of new and existing assets.

The role will sit within the Sustainable Design Team, which is responsible for policy, strategy, advisory and research related to environmental sustainability for Homes Victoria across the asset lifecycle.

Are you:

  • Experienced in providing timely sustainable buildings advisory services to development delivery and corporate strategy teams
  • Experienced in understanding government context, collaborating with stakeholders, writing policies, and supporting their implementation
  • Excited about identifying opportunities in procurement and processes that drive sustainable design outcomes for social housing tenants and improved organisational capability in Homes Victoria.
