Senior Project Officer, Compliance and Reporting

 Reporting to the Manager, Group Compliance and Workforce Strategy, the key accountabilities of the role include:

  • Manage group risk review processes, forums and reports.
  • Provide audit coordination and reports as a group audit liaison for Agriculture Victoria.
  • Coordinate the update of Group Business Continuity Plans and organise any testing arrangements.
  • Coordinate and manage compliance and other business reporting.
  • Represent the needs of Agriculture Victoria on corporate forums, committees or working groups to ensure that business needs are represented and addressed.
  • Support the co-ordination and implementation of key business activities.
  • Undertake other duties as required commensurate to the VPS grade to support the team and Business and Finance Services branch.

As the Senior Project Officer, you will have a high level of drive and commitment, integrity and resilience and be able to build trust through consistent actions, values and communication. You will be able to translate detailed analysis into strategic advice, work effectively as a member of an agile and multi-skilled team, enjoy flexible working arrangements and help promote best practice business planning and performance reporting across the group.

The position of Senior Project Office, Compliance and Reporting forms a part of the Business and Finance Services branch within the Agriculture Victoria group.

The Business and Finance Services branch (the branch) undertakes strategic analysis, provides advice to the Agriculture Victoria Executive, and delivers enabling business and finance services across Agriculture Victoria's metropolitan and regional sites.  The branch manages regional and metropolitan offices, farm and laboratory facilities; site services; and the Department's state-wide fleet function.  The branch is also responsible for group finance and human resource management; business planning, investment and evaluation; and oversight of risk, audit, business continuity and other compliance matters.
