As a Senior Project Officer, you will lead a number of capital delivery projects of school infrastructure by assisting in the coordination of all aspects of project execution across the project lifecycle from feasibility through to project close to ensure expectations are understood and agreed, the program is maintained, key milestones are met, and that delivery, performance and financial targets are achieved. This includes preparation of project feasibility information, maintaining stakeholder relationships, collaborating with internal and external teams, providing clear advice and reporting, administering contractual requirements and connecting insights from analysis into strategy development and investment advice.

Senior Project Officer - Fixed Term/Full-Time

This position will play a key role in contributing to the development and delivery of the VSBA's infrastructure portfolio. The position provides a breadth of exposure across school infrastructure policy and capital delivery, it includes considerable exposure to key parliamentary and government processes. The environment is fast-paced. Key accountabilities of the role include specialist expertise for infrastructure, recruitment and staff development, project management and support, procurement responsibilities, infrastructure policy and process, stakeholder management and strategic and business planning and reporting.

The ideal candidate will have a background across the full development project lifecycle, including coordinating and directing consultants, contractors and external stakeholders, in both greenfields and brownfields infrastructure projects. Your proven project management skills, together with your qualifications in a relevant discipline will be highly regarded in securing this opportunity. Knowledge of public sector infrastructure funding and delivery systems will also be looked upon favourably.
