The Safe Trees Program Manager will be responsible for leading the implementation and management of the Safe Tree Program for the Victorian Schools Building Authority. The Safe Tree Program is an application-based program whereby Government schools can apply for assistance to assess, manage or remove high-risk trees.

The Safe Trees Program Manager will be responsible for leading the implementation and management of the Safe Tree Program for the Victorian Schools Building Authority.

The Safe Tree Program is an application-based program whereby Government schools can apply for assistance to assess, manage or remove high-risk trees.

The role of the Safe Trees Program Manager will include the following responsibilities:

• Project Management of the delivery of the Safe Tree Program on the school sites
• Review and assessment of Safe Tree Program applications against the Safe Trees Program Guidelines
• Contract Management of existing contracts
• Evidence-based decision making in accordance with the DET Policies and Guidelines
• Stakeholder Engagement with schools and arborists
• Communicating complex issues, options, and solutions to schools
• Financial Management of the Safe Trees Program Budget
• Ensure procurement activities are undertaken in accordance with the relevant legislation, policy, guidance, and any mandatory requirements.
