About us

The Magistrates' Court of Victoria (MCV) is a jurisdiction within the Court Services Victoria statutory authority, and has a long history of providing justice for the people of Victoria in metropolitan and regional courts across the state. The Court determines in excess of 300,000 cases per annum at 51 venues, equating to approximately 90 per cent of all cases that come before Victorian courts each year. About the role

The Senior Project Officer will contribute to the successful implementation of the Assessment and Referral Court (ARC) Expansion Project, through the provision of a range of project management and coordination functions and tasks. The ARC is a solution focused court underpinned by principles or therapeutic jurisprudence and recoveryoriented mental health practice. The ARC program is undergoing an expansion to additional Court locations across metropolitan and regional Victoria. The role will lead and support a range of project activities to achieve project outcomes and support the achievement of organisational objectives. The position plays a critical role in relation to; governance management and reporting, risks and issues management, monitoring and reporting on project status, stakeholder management and financial management. The role will support the strategic direction and priorities of the project and CSV.

About you

Demonstrated knowledge of Victorian Courts and Tribunals, with particular reference to problem-solving courts and therapeutic jurisprudence. Demonstrated knowledge and experience in coordinating large-scale projects through the full project lifecycle. Demonstrated expertise or knowledge of the principles and processes of project management, project lifecycle stages and project management methodologies. A relevant tertiary qualification accompanied with project management (e.g., PRINCE 2 -Foundation or Practitionercertification, APM -Practitioner or Certified-, PMI –CAPM or PMP-) and/or equivalent experience in Project Management is highly desirable.
