The Early Childhood Implementation Branch is a responsive and dynamic team working closely with central and regional partners to achieve reform in Early Childhood service provision. We are responsible for ensuring implementation is a key consideration both in the policy design phase and the roll out of early childhood reform initiatives.


The role of the Senior Project Officer for the Early Childhood Reform Implementation Unit is to:

  • Lead and support the implementation design of Three-Year-Old Kindergarten reforms, including the Early Learning Leadership Forums and Early Years Learning Networks
  • Provide advice to ensure effective implementation of early childhood reform
  • Prepare and maintain project documentation to ensure accurate and timely information for implementation, reporting, monitoring and evaluation purposes
  • Source, collate and compile data to identify emerging issues and  report on project progress against established milestones and deliverables
  •  Develop effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders and ensure design and implementation collaboration facilitates the exchange of information to support project completion in line with objectives and timelines.
  • Undertake research and analysis, identifying trends and preparing project briefs, to support informed decision-making and planning

The position is part of the broader Early Childhood Implementation Branch and will be expected to support a range of implementation projects across the Early Childhood Reform portfolio, working flexibly to support priorities across the branch as required.
