The successful applicant will will contribute to ensuring DELWP staff are engaging effectively with Traditional Owners and Aboriginal Victorians.

An exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic work environment with a flexible and supportive team environment. This role provides a fantastic opportunity to influence and contribute to significant reform and partner directly with Victorian Traditional Owners.

Candidates are required to have strong Community Engagement and Project Management skills.

The role will contribute to enabling Self-Determination for Traditional Owners and Aboriginal Victorians.

The role will contribute to ensuring DELWP staff are engaging effectively with Traditional Owners and Aboriginal Victorians.

The role will develop and implement projects under Pupangarli Marnmarnepu, DELWP's Self-Determination Reform Strategy 2020-2025.

Specialist/Technical Expertise/Qualifications

  • Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of Victorian Aboriginal cultures and societies and ability to communicate effectively with Aboriginal people.
  • Experience in drawing upon research and evidence about what it takes to effectively engage Aboriginal people and builds Aboriginal community capacity with a community development approach.
