The Family Violence Reform Implementation Monitor is an independent officer who reports directly to Parliament each year on the Government's implementation of the recommendations made by the Royal Commission into Family Violence. The Office supports the Monitor in her work. 

The Implementation Monitor works collaboratively with all government entities responsible for the family violence reforms and the service sector to understand the strengths and challenges with implementation of these significant reforms. The final statutory monitoring period ends on 1 November 2020 and it is expected that the final report will be tabled in parliament around May 2021, after which the Monitor's office will be wound up. 

An exciting opportunity exists for a Senior Project Officer with the Family Violence Reform Implementation Monitor's Office. Working within a small, focussed team, you will contribute to the independent monitoring of the implementation of Victoria's landmark family violence reforms.

As the Senior Project Officer, you will be responsible for:

  • Designing and undertaking original data collection using research and evaluation methods such as interviews, focus groups, site visits and document analysis.
  • Monitor progress of work programs and report on progress 
  • Prepare documents for use by the Monitor and other staff to communicate monitoring progress and contribute to the drafting of the Monitor's report to Parliament. 
  • Maintain comprehensive records and support the Office's knowledge management processes

To be successful in this role you must have excellent research, analysis and writing skills. You will be highly organised and enjoy the challenge of a dynamic and high-profile working environment. Knowledge of family violence, social services and/or evaluation, and experience managing a small team will be an advantage.
