About the role:

Victoria Police will be undertaking a state-wide radio terminal (and associated equipment) replacement / refresh program.

Reporting to the Operational Technology Manager, Information Communications Digital Technology, you will be responsible for working with key stakeholders to enable the deployment of Victoria Police operational radios and equipment. 

Key stakeholders include all areas within Victoria Police as well as ESTA, Motorola, Telstra, EMV.

Your duties will include:

  • Development of plans for replacement of radio terminals and associated equipment ensuring detailed documentation is developed and maintained.
  • Coordination of the program with key stakeholders to achieve the program objectives efficiently and effectively.
  • Working collaboratively with all stakeholders throughout the program, and effectively communicating information.
  • Performing audits to validate the accuracy of equipment data through various equipment provider databases and the internal Victoria Police Equipment Tracking Management System (ETMS).

As the successful applicant, you will have:

  • Detailed knowledge of Victoria Police, including its use of radio equipment and operational radio communications.
  • Demonstrated experience in planning, delivery and coordination.
  • Good communication skills and be a proven team player.
  • An understanding and commitment to the timeframes for delivery and scope of this project for Victoria Police.

Requirements and relevant information:

  • One (1) x full-time, fixed term position available.
  • This position is located at Victoria Police Centre, 311 Spencer Street, Docklands.
  • Applicants must be an Australian Citizen, Permanent Resident or hold a valid work permit or visa.
  • The successful candidate will be required to undergo pre-employment checks which may include fingerprint checks and misconduct screening.
  • In accordance with the Acting Chief Health Officer's Direction – COVID-19 Mandatory Vaccination (Workers) Directions, you are required to be fully vaccinated (this includes a booster vaccination) and your employment with Victoria Police is subject to proof of vaccination.
