About Bushfire Recovery Victoria (BRV)

BRV is responsible for recovery coordination at the state and regional tiers for all emergencies. BRV’s roles include:

Recovery coordination, bringing together multiple actors and data to clarify priorities and resolve issues where there are conflicts, divergences or gaps in strategy, policy and programs.

Community recovery advocacy, through supporting local government and into State Government processes.

Recovery service delivery, where no other government portfolio has accountability or there is an evidenced gap in capability or capacity; with a clear plan to transition back to the appropriate lead.

A unique and exciting opportunity exists to join the team at Bushfire Recovery Victoria (BRV) as Senior Regional Recovery Officer.  Reporting to the Regional Recovery Manager, you will be responsible for supporting and delivering emergency management recovery planning and operations functions whilst developing and maintaining strong stakeholder relationships, emergency preparedness and support to our community.

You will have emergency management, operational or recovery skills and experience, and a demonstrated ability to engage with community, agencies, NGOs and Local Governments, to build trusted relationships, community capacity and effective recovery planning.

You are a self-motivated leader focused on delivering quality outcomes for our local Victoria communities and thrive in a fast-paced, risk-based environment.

You will be part of the BRV Barwon South West team based in south west Victoria, and have the ability to work across multiple geographical areas to support recovery operations if required.
