Working in the price monitoring and regulation division you could contribute to regulatory projects and tasks across several sectors, including water, energy, transport, and local government. Depending on the sector, this could include making price determinations and decisions, reporting on the performance of regulated entities, monitoring customer outcomes, and implementing customer protection frameworks. We also undertake reviews, investigations and inquiries referred by Government from time to time
Position details
The regulatory analyst role will suit those who enjoy working across a range of tasks and teams and can adapt to changing priorities.
As a regulatory analyst you will contribute to the delivery of economic regulatory projects and tasks. You will undertake research and analysis, provide advice and recommendations, contribute to stakeholder engagement and to the preparation and publication of public reports and decisions.
Depending on the needs of the division and the skills of the incumbent, the roles will contribute to our functions in pricing, establishing and monitoring customer protection frameworks, engagement, inquiries and reviews, and performance reporting. Work is likely to cover a number of sectors regulated by the division and the regulatory functions of the commission.
A key upcoming project is the water price review where the successful candidate will review prices for 14 businesses.
You will work in a flexible and diverse office environment as part of small multi-disciplinary teams to deliver projects.
