Your impact

We have a great opportunity for a passionate Health & Safety Advisor looking to take the next step in their career development.

Reporting to the Director of Risk and HSE and working alongside the Senior Safety and Environment Manager, you will play an important role in supporting the development, implementation and maintenance of the Occupational Health Safety and Environment (OHSE) strategies and systems to support a positive safety culture and deliver adherence to relevant Acts, regulations, laws and policies through expert safety and environmental advice, consultation and solutions.


Your key responsibilities will include:


  • supporting management, project teams, employees and contractors understand OHSE responsibilities and support them to fulfil those responsibilities.
  • supporting personnel with respect to any safety or environmental issues or considerations related to the acquisition, management and redevelopment of physical assets and projects.
  • assisting the ongoing development, implementation and improvement of the safety and environmental management framework, including policies, procedures, associated documentation, training and support.
  • maintaining an up to date awareness of safety and environmental legislative changes and industry best practices to inform continuous business improvement.
  • assist with investigating workplace incidents in partnership with the relevant manager(s) and closing out of any corrective actions.
  • assist project teams with preparing OHS documentation and OHS monthly reporting.
  • conducting internal audit and GAP analysis of system elements, procedures and records.
  • communicating and escalating significant risks or incidents to your line manager.
  • performing records and document management related to health, safety, environmental and risk.
  • maintaining and improving records and document management systems.
  • act as DV’s RTW Coordinator
  • assisting the Senior Safety and Environment Manager with performance of spot checks, internal reviews and audits of business wide information processes.

Desired Skills and Experience

About you

You are looking to work in a supportive and collaborative team and develop your skills to the next level working alongside a highly regarded Senior Safety and Environmental Manager. You will have a safety advisory background supporting Project Managers and Contractors in a range of residential development, civil works, construction/fit-outs, and infrastructure projects.

You pride yourself in your abilities to support and build strong, trusting relationships with leaders and experts in their field. You possess a strong OHS&E systems background with change management capability. You're able to influence through others and enable accountability and ownership at the front line. You enjoy creating awareness and a culture of safety through your robust communications, coaching and relationship building capabilities. You are qualified in OHS, environmental management, engineering, construction or related profession.
