About the role

This Senior Social Work position provides the clinical leadership for social work services to COVID+ patients at Box Hill Hospital as well as within Acute and Aged medicine at the Angliss Hospital, promoting optimum outcomes for patients, best practice standards and clinical excellence.  Working in a dynamic team environment, the senior social worker will demonstrate advanced skills in psychosocial assessments, risk assessments, complex discharge planning and social work interventions. This position will also deliver professional support, supervision and leadership to the social work team at Box Hill Hospital.

To be successful in the role you will be: 

• Providing a high quality clinical social work service to patients at Eastern Health


• Providing leadership to social work staff


• Supervising and support social work staff


• Liaising with social work and allied health management teams


• Undertaking quality projects
