AV is seeking an experienced clinical and subject matter expert to lead strategic and state-wide development for our mental health program. This is a full time, fixed-term (1 year with possibility of extension) position currently based in Blackburn North.

 

About the role

Reporting to the Director, Patient Care Academy, the responsibilities of this position will include, but are not limited to:

 

  • Strategically lead AV's mental health change agenda.
  • Lead and oversee critical senior stakeholder relationships and interfaces with clinical mental health, wellbeing, and Alcohol and Other Drugs services.
  • Actively manage and develop trusted, credible and effective relationships across AV, and external stakeholders to facilitate a partnership approach.
  • Proactively champion practices that promote health and wellbeing of staff and ensure that safety goals, practices and standards are implemented.
  • Establish strategic direction for the mental health program by setting a clear vision and supporting delivery against its goals and objectives.

 

About you

To be considered for this position you will possess:

 

  • a relevant tertiary qualification
  • Mental Health clinical qualifications with AHPRA registration.
  • Extensive sector experience in a senior management position.
  • A strong understanding of Victoria's Mental Health and Alcohol and Other Drugs Systems.
  • A thorough understanding of the Royal Commission's recommendations into Victoria's Mental Health System.

 

It is expected that you have demonstrated experience in developing ling-term, complex and multi-phased programs to improve service delivery and patient outcomes and implementation of complex strategies to support key internal and external clients or stakeholders. Have strong conceptual and analytical skills to deal with concepts and complexity comfortably and the ability to quickly understand intricate issues and assess potential solutions. To succeed, you will also need excellent written and verbal communication skills.

This position is graded at AV6. The AV grade salary range for an AV4 position is $147,228 to $169,026 plus 10.5% superannuation. The expectation is that employees will commence at the base of the grade applicable to a position.
