Senior Speech Pathologist (Neurodevelopmental Assessment Team)

About the role

The Speech Pathologist will provide high quality clinical speech pathology assessment and consultation services to children and young people, aged 0 – 25 years presenting with severe mental health, trauma and/or disabilities.  The Speech Pathologist will be situated within the CYMHS the Neurodevelopmental Assessment Team which is located in Box Hill.

About you 

To be successful in this role you will possess:

  • Participate in complex multidisciplinary neurodevelopmental assessments for Autism Spectrum Disorder and the writing of reports.

  • Skilled in Speech Pathology assessments including social pragmatic language assessments, knowledge and familiarity with the Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule, Second Edition (ADOS-2) is desirable.

  • Ability to provide assessment and consultation with individual clients and their families as well as broader systemic and community interventions.

  • Demonstrated commitment to supervised practice and ongoing professional development.

  • A strong commitment to high quality care.

  • The ability to work as part of a team

  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
