POSITION SUMMARY:

The Senior Strategic Communications Advisor is responsible for the planning, development, implementation and evaluation of communications strategies and activities that promote and support the work of Homes Victoria, the Department of Families, Fairness and Housing (DFFH) and the Victorian Government.  

The purpose of the role is to support and build the vision, values and reputation of Homes Victoria, the Department of Families, Fairness and Housing (DFFH) and the Victorian Government through the production of timely, effective, impactful and persuasive communications that are appropriate to a range of diverse audiences and stakeholders.

The role forms a critical link between operational policy and program teams and external stakeholders for the development and delivery of communications related to high profile, sensitive and complex programs and projects.

The role also contributes to the achievement of Homes Victoria's vision, values and strategic priorities and positive reputation throughout the Victorian community.

Are you:

  • A highly experienced communications professional, skilled in developing and delivering integrated communications strategies, preferably in a complex environment involving multiple stakeholders?
  • Experienced in a range of communication disciplines - including external communications, issues and reputation management, stakeholder engagement and media and content development?
  • Able to operate successfully in an environment of competing priorities, against an ongoing brief to produce high quality materials in a client service culture?
