About the organisation

The Victorian Gambling and Casino Control Commission (VGCCC) currently retains all the powers and responsibilities of the former Victorian Commission for Gambling and Liquor Regulation (VCGLR), as the independent statutory authority that regulates the liquor and gambling industries in Victoria. The opportunity

Reporting to the Manager, Systems Assurance, this role is primarily responsible for conducting technology audits to ensure that VGCCC approved gambling systems are compliant with approvals and relevant legislations and standards. The objectives of the audits are to evaluate the systems in terms of security, integrity, recoverability and auditability. The role offers the opportunity for considerable personal development in the technology risk and audit field.   

The role requires flexibility as the nature of the work requires a number of duties to be conducted off-site at relevant Licensee locations with occasional air travel. 

Who we are looking for

To be considered for this role, you will have:

• Relevant qualification and demonstrated experience in IT audits and or information security
• Extensive knowledge with complex systems and IT general controls
• Demonstrated knowledge and experience in audit processes and procedures
• Extensive knowledge of the gambling industry, in particular an ability to identify risks, developments and issues that need to be managed by the regulator
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills and ability to build and maintain effective relationships

Key responsibilities

• Undertake technology assurance engagements of gambling systems associated with Victorian gambling major licensees
• Prepare and deliver reports to audit stakeholders with findings and recommendations
• Lead the monitoring of system significant events
• Participate in special reviews or investigations, based on risk assessments, of high-risk areas of gambling operations across Victoria
