The Team

The position of Social and Digital Content Officer forms a part of the Strategic Marketing and Communications branch within the Jobs Victoria, Secure Work and Inclusion group.

We actively promote the Victorian Government's role in growing our state's economy, creating jobs for Victorians, building thriving places and regions and supporting an inclusive and fairer society.  

Through connecting with staff, communities, business/industry and stakeholders to build awareness, inform, educate and/or change behaviour we deliver the Government's projects, initiatives and commitments.

We do this so that Victoria continues to be recognised as one of the best places in the world to live, work, study, invest and do business and that the benefits of a thriving economy reach all Victorians.

The Role

This role supports the digital and social team to build the Jobs Victoria brand and online community by providing support to our key audiences.

Key accountabilities:

  1. Help to build the Jobs Victoria brand and online community by providing support to our key audiences.
  2. Write content in an approachable, engaging and channel specific style.
  3.   Monitoring and engagement of owned channels to identify opportunities and triage issues to appropriate areas including scripting of responses, creation of content and reporting.
  4. Generate social content from concept to execution (Canva, Adobe Ps, Video editing a plus).
  5. Use social media and web analytics and reporting tools to develop actionable insights to inform content development and execution.

The Candidate

The successful applicant will have experience in social media monitoring and content creation.
