Social Procurement Advisor

  • $88,955 - $100,930 (Plus Superannuation)
  • Fixed Term to 31 December 2022

The Social Procurement and Enterprise (SPE) branch is seeking expressions of interest for a Social Procurement Advisor position for a period of up to sixteen months. Integral to this position will be your ability to engage with a broad range of stakeholders, your responsiveness, customer focus and ability to undertake procurement related activities as directed.

The Social Procurement Advisor will play a key role in providing support and advice on social and sustainable procurement under the SPF to support Victorian government buyers to drive greater understanding and application of the SPF. Working closely with all parts of the SPE branch, the Social Procurement Advisor will support the development and delivery of social procurement engagement activities that create greater awareness and increased capability to deliver improved social, inclusive, and environmental outcomes across government procurement projects.

Key accountabilities:

  • provide procurement advice and address enquiries from government buyers to embed the SPF into their procurement activities
  • support the development and delivery of tools and resources to facilitate increased capability across government to implement the SPF
  • work proactively as part of a team to deliver procurement related engagement activities for government buyers

To be successful in this role, you will have sound procurement experience and be able to confidently advise and provide support across goods, services, and construction procurement activities. You will have excellent communication skills with a demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships with a wide range of stakeholders on the implementation of SPF to deliver high quality outcomes aligned to government objectives.
