About the Opportunity
An exciting opportunity exists at Monash Health for Social Workers interested in joining the Casual Bank. We are a busy and dynamic team assisting patients and families by providing a professional service for patients referred across the acute and sub-acute inpatient setting.
Our Social Work service includes Acute, Sub-Acute (Aged and Rehabilitation) and specialty areas such as Intensive Care, Emergency Department and Women’s and Children’s services. The successful applicants will have the opportunity to accept available shifts and some short term contracts across all sites as part of a busy, energetic and friendly Allied Health team. These positions may be based at our hospitals; Casey, Clayton, Dandenong, Kingston and Moorabbin sites.

About You
You are a qualified and experienced Social Worker with a minimum of 4 years post graduate experience providing a strong focus on patient centred care. Through your hard working and enthusiastic nature you have the ability to adapt to changing settings and shifts during the business week and weekends or public holidays. You are a dynamic Allied Health professional who is passionate about making a positive contribution to the health of your patients, described as enthusiastic and motivated to perform at your best every day, you demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills
You will be a member of a dynamic team with the opportunity to work in a setting assisting adult patient cohorts from general medicine, general surgery, Emergency department, Women’s and Children’s and other specialty areas as required. The focus is on psychosocial assessments, risk assessments, complex discharge planning and family support. Experience in a hospital or other health setting is essential.
