About the role

South West Healthcare (SWH) is seeking a motivated and skilled person to join Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS). CAMHS is a specialised and highly proficient team based in Warrnambool, Victoria with outreach clinics located in Camperdown, Hamilton and Portland.  We're currently seeking applications from enthusiastic and dynamic mental health professionals to join our team.

The CAMHS Mental Health clinician position provides an opportunity for healthcare professionals to work in a multidisciplinary team to develop specialist skills in crisis assessment and a range of evidence based interventions for children, young people and their families including but not limited to: family therapy including Family Based Treatment for eating disorders, cognitive behaviour therapy and trauma informed care.

This is a permanent full-time position (80 hours per fortnight) with a monthly ADO with an immediate commencement date.

What you bring

The successful applicant will be an experienced and qualified Social Worker with the ability to demonstrate excellent skills and broad experience in mental health clinical services, including a proven ability to work within a team based multi-disciplinary model. Previous experience in working with young people and their families experiencing mental health difficulties would be an advantage.

Working as part of a collaborative and highly skilled team of professionals, excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential. A comprehensive understanding and knowledge of legislation, regulation and contemporary practice in mental health is required.

Applicants must hold a tertiary degree in Social Work which allows for eligibility for membership with the AASW.
