Social Work Grade 2, Permanent Full Time (Leave Cover Position)

Austin Health is the major provider of tertiary health services, health professional education and research across 3 campuses in the northeast of Melbourne and state-wide. Austin Health is world-renowned for its research and specialist work in cancer, liver transplantation, spinal cord injuries, neurology, endocrinology, mental health and rehabilitation.

An exciting opportunity currently exists for an enthusiastic and highly experienced social worker (Grade 2) to join our Social Work Department.

In this role you will work clinically in a range of clinical areas (acute and sub-acute) as the leave cover position. To fulfill this role it is important that you have experience in working in a health system. In this role, you will use your social work skills and knowledge to undertake comprehensive psychosocial assessments to provide interventions and formulate discharge plans. You will also actively participate in quality improvement activities and provide supervision to staff and students.

To be successful in this role you must work well in a multi-disciplinary environment, and develop positive working relationships with staff, patients and wider community.
