About the role
South West Healthcare's Social Work and Counselling team provides best practice support services to clients (including outpatients, acute and subacute inpatients) and their families, to assist them to cope with the effects of illness, grief and loss, trauma and difficult life events. Social Workers provide individual, group and family counselling and support via both inpatient and outpatient settings.
We are seeking a motivated Social Worker Grade 1 to join our team, to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team to undertake a range of assessments and contribute to the clinical planning of individual care for each client and their family.
This is a permanent full time (80 hours per fortnight) position, with a monthly ADO.
What you bring
As a Social Worker Grade 1, you will develop experience and skills delivering a broad range of effective and efficient counselling services to individuals and their families, including comprehensive psychosocial assessments. Working as part of a collaborative and highly skilled team of professionals, excellent verbal and written communications skills are essential, and a comprehensive understanding and knowledge of legislation, regulation and contemporary practice is a must.
