Great opportunity for a software engineer with software development and DevOps experience to join a team responsible for supporting and enhancing critical software applications used in preparedness and response to emergencies, including bushfire.
As a software developer in our team, you are going to be supporting and improving products that support firefighters and other emergency responders to combat bushfires, as well as helping to keep the community safe. You will be joining a highly motivated team driven to deliver great products and support our frontline emergency management response. You will be responsible for the support and enhancement of our Emergency and Land management Platform.
Responsibilities:
* Support and enhance emergency management applications using .NET Core & Angular (Typescript)
* Support and troubleshoot applications written in languages like Java & Ruby while contributing to the uplift of these systems to modern technologies.
* Develop core systems, components and DevOps tools that form the foundation for next generation applications to support emergency response.
* Expected to be able to work both autonomously and within a team whilst providing creative solutions to problems.
Key Skills:
* Proficiency working with C#, Angular, SQL Server and .NET Core
* Willingness to learn and to troubleshoot problems in unfamiliar/legacy languages (like J2EE, Ruby, Visual Basic).
* A focus on customer service and resolving problems.
* Self-motivated and ability to work both individually and as part of a team.
