An exciting opportunity exists to be a part of a very capable and enthusiastic team of medical imaging practitioners. The Sonographer position reports directly to the Manager Medical Imaging.

This role provides an effective ultrasound service for patients/clients of the medical imaging department of Central Gippsland Health Service along with providing support in achieving the organisation’s vision, mission and values. The position offers an attractive remuneration including excellent salary packaging benefits.

The CGHS Medical Imaging Department is an extensive practice situated over multiple sites.  Modalities included are Gen X-ray, CT, Ultrasound, Mammography, Nuclear Medicine, MRI and Echocardiography.

CGHS Medical Imaging Ultrasound Department provides a high quality service to Sale and the wider community. Using modern up to date equipment, services include Obstetric imaging (with ability for 3D), Vascular, General, Small Parts, MSK and Interventional procedures performed by an onsite Radiologist.

 CGH is located in Sale and is close to the Gippsland Lakes, Wilderness trails, beach, mountains and a 2.5 hour drive from Melbourne.

Applicants must have:

  • Post graduate Qualification in Ultrasonography or equivalent Unrestricted ASAR Registration.
  • Radiographer background desirable but not essential.
