Austin Health is the major provider of tertiary health services, health professional education and research across 3 campuses in the northeast of Melbourne and state-wide. About the Radiology Department

The Radiology Department operates at both the Austin and the Heidelberg Repatriation Hospitals and provides a comprehensive range of diagnostic and interventional radiology services to the patients of Austin Health and the surrounding community.

The Austin Radiology Department provides an extensive range of services to inpatient, emergency, and outpatient clinics, including a range of private referrals. The Repatriation Radiology Department provides services to a large volume of outpatient clinics, externally referred patients and some inpatients.

About you

We are on the search for an experienced and qualified Grade 3 Sonographer to join our Radiology Department on a permanent full-time basis. The focus of the role requires you to be patient focused in the efficient delivery of timely, high quality imaging examinations.

Responsibilities in the role will include (but not limited to):

  • Establishing and maintaining a high standard of practice in ultrasound
  • Understanding the principles of safety in the practice of medical imaging procedures, patient interaction, and associated tasks
  • ·       Contributing to an environment of multidisciplinary teamwork, maintaining a flexible approach
  • ·       Rotating shifts across the Radiology Departments at the Austin and Heidelberg Repatriation Hospitals.
