About the facility


At Barwon Health, ultrasound facilities are provided at University Hospital Geelong, The McKellar Centre and Barwon Health North. The mix of acute hospital and community/private settings provides an interesting and diverse patient cohort.


Medical Imaging have recently upgraded their facilities with a new state of the art purpose built ultrasound department. Our equipment consists of newly purchased Philips Epic 5G machines. The sonographer team includes a well-established sonographer training program lead by a Tutor Sonographer and Clinical Educator. The ultrasound service in 24/7 with an on call service and weekend shifts available.


About the role


As the Grade 4 Sonographer you will be recognised as an expert practitioner in ultrasound with a mix of acute hospital, community, as well as private settings, which provides an interesting and diverse patient cohort.


To be successful in this position you will have:



  • Successfully completed a post graduate qualification in ultrasound

  • Registration with the Australian Sonographer Association Registry (ASAR)

  • It is also desirable that the Grade 4 Sonographer be at least 3 years qualified as a sonographer to reflect a depth of experience appropriate to this role.
