We do this by translating transport strategy into sustainable plans to be implemented through a pipeline of projects, keeping community values such as liveability, road safety, economic prosperity and community connectedness at our core.

About the role

The Specialist Engineer Technical Standards provides specialised engineering leadership relating to public transport technical standards on behalf of the rail systems team within Network Planning.

Key requirements

  • Proven record of expertise and achievement in the field of public transport or related standards and the capacity to perform positively in a dynamic and constantly changing environment.
  • High level skills in the provision of authoritative advice and recommendations at an international level within the field of public transport or related standards.
  • High level research, conceptual and analytical skills representative of international best practice, including the ability to identify emerging issues, trends and risks, assimilate potential applications and impacts and the expertise to resolve complex and sensitive stakeholder problems with respect to public transport or related standards.
  • Superior written and presentation skills.
  • High level understanding of capability requirements definition and an in-depth knowledge of the application of requirements management tools such as IBM DOORS.
