About the role

The Specialist Family Violence Advisor will be embedded in the Mental Health Program.  They will provide expertise to:

  • Build family violence capability and capacity within the mental health program

  • Support collaboration between the mental health sector, alcohol and other drug sector and the family violence sector

  • Provide secondary consultations to clinicians with the mental health program

  • Support MARAM alignment and embedding with the mental health program

  • Engage with state-wide specialist family violence advisor activity.

About you 

To be successful in this role you will possess:

  • Current registration with AHPRA

  • Qualifications and experience as OT3, SW3, P3 or RPN4

  • Highly developed interpersonal and leadership experience

  • Minimum 7 years’ clinical experience

  • Significant and demonstrated experience in the family violence sector

  • Public mental health experience desirable and preferred but not essential.

  • The ability to work as part of a diverse team

  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
