We are seeking an experienced and engaged Specialist Fleet Delivery & Development  to manage the delivery of services, including coordinating the management of multiple fleet related contracts, supervising installations, and leading the delivery of projects and services. This is a  Full Time, Permanent position currently based in South Melbourne.

About the role

Reporting to the Lead Contract & Business (Fleet & Equipment), the responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

  •  Managing existing and new vehicle fit-outs including development of schedules, stakeholder consultation, monitoring of expenditure, certifying progress and taking corrective action if necessary;
  • Supervising the allocation and payment of vehicle related services (such as vehicle commissioning, engineering/contractor reports)
  • Managing tender processes as requested, including specification preparation, evaluation and negotiation
  • Developing and implementing processes and controls that facilitate economical and safe provision of fleet services and ensure that AV's fleet complies with all relevant statutory requirements
  • Coordinating support staff and contractors (including communication contractors) to achieve completion of vehicle fit outs to meet AV's needs

About you

To be successful in this role you have the following:

  • Certificate IV in Automotive and preferably a Tertiary qualification in Automotive Management
  • Proven experience in developing and coordinating the fit out of fleets to meet organisational needs
  • Demonstrated experience in a project management capacity, including scheduling and budgeting experience and an awareness of issues relating to a government environment
  • Strong interpersonal, negotiation and influencing skills to gain the acceptance of plans and ideas and the ability to modify style and behaviour to accommodate tasks, situations and individuals
  • You have strong leadership skills allowing you to manage others to ensure objectives are achieved and identify continuous improvement opportunities
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and relevant software applications

The AV grade salary range for AV- 5 position is $122,236 - $144,502 plus 10% superannuation. Salary on commencement is offered at the base of the AV grade.

The successful candidate must have a current Victorian Driver License and be willing to travel throughout metropolitan Melbourne and regional Victoria when required.
